Robert Vann
Studio Owner
Robert Vann is the founder of 9 Point Studios, a space he spent three years designing and building with precision, craftsmanship, and creativity. A former touring drummer with the Stewart Mayfield Project, Robert transitioned from full-time music to spend over 15 years sharpening his analytical and business acumen in the financial sector. When the opportunity came to merge his creative roots with professional experience, 9 Point Studios was born. Robert has left no stone unturned in crafting a welcoming haven where musicians and producers can be creative and express themselves freely.
Greg Giorgio
Producer, Mixer & Chief Engineer
Greg Giorgio is known for his work on albums by Delta Rae, The National, Death Cab for Cutie, Trey Anastasio, and many others. For twenty-five years, he’s built a reputation for his meticulous approach to recording, mixing, and mastering. Over the years Greg has collaborated with numerous artists and producers, most notably spending nearly twenty years engineering for Producer Peter Katis at Tarquin Studios. Greg brings his deep well of experience to 9 Point Studios, where he helps artists and producers craft their unique sonic style by blending creative artistry with technical excellence.
Matt Schaefer
Studio Technician
Legend has it he was born with a soldering iron in his hand. Matt has been tinkering with audio and music technology for as long as he can remember. As a recording studio systems consultant by trade, he has designed, built, installed, and maintained hundreds of recording studio systems nationwide. When he’s not thinking about tech, which is rare, Matt spends his time coming up with awful jokes, taking excessively long road trips, playing music, designing electronic circuits, and rooting for the Buffalo Bills. Matt’s work is critical in bringing Robert’s vision for 9 Point Studios to reality.
Julien Jarry
Director of Photography
Julien Jarry is a proven leader in visual storytelling through photography and videography. A passionate artist with impeccable taste and technical prowess, he creates striking, emotionally resonant work. Julien helped design and implement the video infrastructure at 9 Point Studios—including artful lighting and multi-angle Blackmagic 4K camera setups. His exceptional eye is on display throughout the 9 Point website, from the studio walkthrough to the Eric Holljes session. With a background in communication, hospitality, and production, Julien brings a rare mix of artistry and precision to every project.
Brendan Rivera
Director of Social Media
Brendan Rivera is a seasoned musician with four records and more than a dozen film scores to his credit. His career spans both the music and beer industries, where he became known for creative storytelling and thoughtful brand-building. As founder of Skinny House Beer Co., he also supplies the house lager on tap in the 9 Point Lounge. Blending his decade of experience in social media, photography, and design with his perspective as a working musician, Brendan amplifies the creative energy at 9 Point Studios and helps share its story with the wider artistic world.
